Agent Carter Season 2 Casts Kurtwood Smith In Major Recurring Role

Agent Carter has cast Kurtwood Smith in a major recurring role, reuniting the actor with showrunners Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas, all of whom worked on Resurrection.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that Smith will play “Vernon Masters, a veteran of the War Department with a keen understanding of how to work the system.”
In addition to working with Butters and Fazekas on Resurrection, Smith’s credits also include Robocop and That ‘70s Show.
In the wild speculation department, Vernon Masters does not register as a known character from the Marvel Comics Universe. However, the supervillain Taskmaster was born Tony Masters. Coincidence, or connection? We’ll have to wait and see.
Personally after last season I don’t see Taskmasters pops being far fetched at all. This show truly shows the level of chaos that is Marvel spy game. The whole point of this show is to show the first generations of current heroes.
Agent Carter Season 2 Premieres January of 2016.
