Online Odds Favor CM Punk to Appear at AEW All Out

Bet on CM Punk to make an appearance at All Elite Wrestling’s All Out pay-per-view show. At least, online oddsmakers strongly believe he will. The show will take place August 31 at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

The former WWE, ROH and ECW World Champion ranks as a strong favorite to resurface with AEW. He’s currently listed as a -250 favorite at MyBookie and -225 favorite at Bovada. Other online books that take wrestling bets agree with similar odds. In gambling speak, that means you’d have to wager $250 or $225 to win $100. That means CM Punk ranks as a 2.5 to 1 favorite to show up.

However, it’s important to note that these same books don’t believe CM Punk will actually wrestle. MyBookie currently lists CM Punk as a +1600 underdog to work in the squared circle. That means you’d win $1,600 on a $100 bet if he laces up the boots, puts on the tights and heads to the ring.

Needless to say, the mere appearance of CM Punk with AEW would send shock waves through the community of those who adore pro wrestling. Obviously, CM Punk would draw a strong reaction in his hometown of Chicago. Fans still chant his name at every WWE event at a Chicago venue to this date, even though he hasn’t appeared for the company since 2014.

An appearance at AEW All Out would not mark the first for CM Punk in the wrestling world this year. On April 19, 2019, CM Punk appeared in a masked disguise at an event held by independent promotion MKE Wrestling, where he helped Ace Steel win a match by attacking his opponent with the GTS. While it was implied to be Punk by promotion owner Silas Young, nothing was confirmed by Punk. You can watch video of that match below:

Interest in AEW remains through the roof. Ticket sales for the All Out show reportedly sold out online in 15 minutes, according to various online reports. Furthermore, WWE ratings for Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live continue to hover near all-time lows. In addition, AEW announced a weekly show coming to TNT on Tuesday nights this fall.

Ziggler and Surprising Name Candidates to Leave WWE for AEW

In other AEW news, online books also set odds on the next WWE Superstar to leave the company for AEW. The current favorite actually will feature prominently in this weekend’s WWE Stomping Grounds show at Tacoma. WWE Championship contender Dolph Ziggler tops the list with the best odds at +170 (MyBookie) and +200 (Bovada).

However, the next name on the list may come as a big shock. Reigning Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor ranks second on the list. His odds currently sit at +250 (MyBookie) and +275 (Bovada). Other notable contenders on MyBookie include: Luke Harper (+400), Shinsuke Nakamura (+450), Zack Ryder (+650), Raw Tag Team Champs The Revival (+800), Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson (+900), Rusev (+1000) and Sasha Banks (+1000).

Balor currently sits off the WWE Stomping Grounds card this Sunday. It’s expected The Revival will face The Usos for the Raw Tag Team titles at the show. However, WWE has yet to announce a match for them as of this writing. None of the other talent on that list will appear at the pay per view.

The inclusion of Gallows and Anderson on this list may explain their appearance on Raw this week. They popped up backstage with their old running buddy, AJ Styles. Then, they took a defeat at the hands of The Usos. WWE may use a reunion with Styles to curtail a possible exodus by The Club to AEW.
